Desiccated coconut, which have strongly irradicated in confectionery art is a coconut derivative product. The "shaggy" fruit of a coconut palm, mainly its snow-white flesh, is ground, at first, into the coconut flour, than is dried at quite high temperatures. Then it is partially-cooled and sieved through different sieving frequency, afterwards it is put together in special boxes. As the result, the final product is created - the grated coconut that we used to call desiccated coconut. It looks like granulated white grain and has delicate coconut flavor.
